Welcome to

THE CAREGIVER'S ALMANAC

"There are only four types of people in the world.

Those who have been caregivers.

Those who are currently caregivers.

Those who will be caregivers,

And those who will need a caregiver."

Rosalyn Carter

This site is devoted to all Caregivers--those who take care of people physically, emotionally, mentally, and/or spiritually. Caregiving is as difficult as it is rewarding, and we need each other's encouragement to keep up our spirits. I hope you find something here that will give you courage and hope so that you can continue the wonderful work you are doing.

Namaste,

Terri Vaughn

Note: The blogs are categorized to make it easy to find a topic to fit your interest; however, I think most topics I write about can be adapted to other caregiving situations. If you have time, read them all. You may find an idea you can use mentioned under a different topic. (You can read them in order --starting with the most recent one--by scrolling down on this page.)

About Me

IAlthough my doctorate is in English and I've taught English classes from 3rd grade to the graduate level, I know that I'll always be a caregiver at heart.  I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences and thoughts on this website.
